Pediatric otolaryngologist Carolyn Jenks specializes in pediatric hearing loss, cochlear implantation, chronic ear disease including cholesteatoma, dizziness (vestibular disorders), airway disorders, head and neck masses, speech disorders including velopharyngeal insufficiency, sleep apnea and sinusitis. She offers minimally invasive endoscopic surgeries of the sinus, ear and airway. Dr. Jenks earned her medical degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She completed residency training at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and a fellowship in pediatric otolaryngology at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine – Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. Among Dr. Jenks’ research interests are pediatric hearing loss, outcomes of cochlear implantation, and vestibular disorders in children. She has published numerous clinical research studies and book chapters, and has spoken nationally and internationally on these subjects.
