Mackenzie Cervenka, MD

Description

Neurologist and epileptologist Mackenzie Cervenka specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with seizures and epilepsy, with a focus on ketogenic therapies and surgical epilepsy treatment. She is the medical director of the Johns Hopkins Adult Epilepsy Diet Center. Dr. Cervenka earned her medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine and completed an internship in internal medicine and residency in neurology at the University of Maryland Medical Center. Dr. Cervenka completed a fellowship in epilepsy at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dr. Cervenka's research focuses on the efficacy of ketogenic diet therapies in the treatment of adults with epilepsy, glucose transporter type 1 deficiency syndrome and status epilepticus.
