Dr. Huili Li is an Assistant Professor of Pathology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, specializing in genitourinary, adrenal, and breast pathology. Dr. Li completed her AP/CP pathology residency at Penn State Health Hershey Medical Center and fellowships in surgical and genitourinary pathology at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Li’s clinical practice focuses on urologic and adrenal pathology, providing diagnostic consultation for complex tumors and participating in the multidisciplinary adrenal tumor board. Her research addresses the diagnostic, immunohistochemical, molecular, and clinicopathologic features of genitourinary and adrenal tumors. Recent projects include studies on urothelial carcinoma variants, renal cell tumors with fibromyomatous stroma, bladder paraganglioma, classification of adrenal primary aldosteronism, and biomarkers such as GPNMB, CYP11B2, B7-H3, and MTAP. Dr. Li has authored or co-authored over 40+ peer-reviewed publications in cancer epigenetics, tumor immunology, and surgical pathology. Her recent work has enhanced diagnostic classification and biomarker interpretation in renal cell carcinoma, urothelial carcinoma, adrenal pathology, and rare genitourinary tumors. She aims to advance precision diagnosis in genitourinary and adrenal pathology by integrating morphologic, immunohistochemical, and molecular methods.
