Mustafa Iftikhar, M.D., is the Stephen J. Ryan Assistant Chief of Service and assistant professor of ophthalmology at the Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins Medicine. Dr.

Iftikhar completed his ophthalmology residency at Wilmer, followed by a vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at Duke University Hospital. His clinical approach is rooted in patient-centered and evidence-based care. Dr.

Iftikhar’s research interests include retinal diseases, ocular trauma, and healthcare disparities. He is deeply committed to surgical education and takes great pride in mentoring the next generation of ophthalmologists.
