Neurologist Anna Patnaik specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of patients who have epilepsy. Clinically, she focuses on epilepsy care for adults with neurodevelopmental disorders and presurgical evaluation for the management of drug-refractory epilepsy. After earning her medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Dr. Patnaik completed an internship in internal medicine at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. She then completed residency training in neurology at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, where she served as executive chief resident in her final year. She remained at the hospital for fellowship training in epilepsy. Dr. Patnaik’s research interests include epilepsy care in adults with developmental disabilities, transitions of care and blood biomarkers of seizures.
