Dr. Govind Warrier is a medical oncologist at Johns Hopkins who specializes in the care of patients with high-risk and advanced skin cancers, including melanoma, cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma, basal cell carcinoma, and Merkel cell carcinoma. He has expertise in using cutting-edge immunotherapy, targeted therapy, chemotherapy, and cellular therapies, and is committed to providing thoughtful, patient-centered care. Dr. Warrier sees patients in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Warrier earned his medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in 2017, where he graduated with distinction in research. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan, followed by an additional year as chief resident. He then completed his fellowship in Medical Oncology at Johns Hopkins, where he also served as chief medical oncology fellow. At Johns Hopkins, Dr. Warrier is a member of the Melanoma/Skin Cancer and Cancer Immunology Programs. His research focuses on improving outcomes for patients with skin cancer through innovative clinical trials aimed at advancing treatment and monitoring approaches. He is also interested in improving access to expert cancer care through digital health and is helping develop platforms designed to help patients and their local medical teams connect with oncology specialists, access advanced therapies, and learn about clinical trial opportunities. In addition to his clinical and research work, Dr. Warrier is a dedicated educator who regularly teaches medical trainees and other health professionals. He has also authored several publications focused on patient education.
