Laura Sena, MD, PhD is a medical oncologist specializing in the care of patients with advanced prostate cancer at the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at the Johns Hopkins University.

She obtained MD and PhD degrees from Northwestern University in the Medical Scientist Training Program, then subsequently completed Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology subspecialty training in the Physician Scientist Training Program at Johns Hopkins.

The goal of her research is to improve therapies and outcomes for patients with advanced prostate cancer by better understanding how prostate cancer metabolism contributes to disease progression, therapeutic resistance, and tumor immune evasion.
